What did you make your hat out of? It's so terrifically stable :D

The hat is actually a base of cardboard and duct tape! I cut the size/shape of the back of the hat and also cut a strip and stuck it around my head about the right angle, and to the size of my head with the wig on, them raised the headband bit away from the backing with lots more cardboard and duct tape, then stuck flat shapes of cardboard between the backing and the most forward part of the headband to give it the 3d shape

and thats it, stayed on with no additional straps or anything, and only felt very unstable in high winds!
